Perfect for my feisty kitty cat

This is a really well made, lightweight pet carrier. My one cat hates being in any type of carrier and can break out of the ones made for kitties, even the hard plastic ones. This one is slightly larger and the clips are really sturdy, so now when I get her corralled, she stays corralled. It’s a little tough to put together, but that’s just because the clips are made to stay in place and stay locked. Recommended highly!

Arrived damaged but not broken

Front corner of the carrier was broken off inside the packaging, but it still corralled my 20lb orange. The roof wire door goes on only one way, and the instructions needed about six or seven more IKEA drawings. Will buy again.

Good for the price, not the most sturdy

I bought this on sale. All the connections are made of plastic, so it's only as sturdy as the plastic. I'd imagine the plastic can warp over time, so I don't more any the durability. I like how the side door completely comes out and how there's a top cover. I would not use this for a rough trip because it might fall apart.

Directions are way to small

The directions are very small and difficult to figure out until you put the top on wrong and there is no way to fix it because it won’t come apart. Zip ties work wonders! The product is the right size for transporting my cats.

Great for my nervous cat

This is really easy to assemble and disassemble. So i introduced it gradually to my nervous cat: first just the base with blankets and treats, then adding the top and then the doors. The top door makes it much easier to put him in it. At the vet, it was very easy to unclip the top half to get him out. And the best part about the design is that the front door doesn’t get in the way because it can go on and off without having to take the top and bottom apart. The handle placement does seem like it puts a lot of tension on the top door, but you should really be supporting it from the bottom anyway.

Came with a broken handle

I would have given five stars but it came with a broken handle. There is no way to attach it to the carrier because one side was broken off. I love the carrier but I have to carry it in my arms.

On 2nd try, assembly goes as expected. I’m happy

I got these for my 2 cat’s trip to the vet to get spayed. Had fabric carriers that they’ve destroyed. Couldn’t get the top entry to latch on the first assembly. The second assembly went fine. So I took apart the top entry on the first carrier and reversed it. And now it latches! Perfect. I am happy with my purchase.

POOR QUALITY!

This carrier is not worth half the money they're asking! The quality is cheap--the handle broke as I was trying to assemble and the top door piece did not match the slats that it was designed to fit in, therefore, I wasn't able to close OR LOCK the top door of the carrier--which was why I wanted this carrier in the first place! I was rehoming the day this carrier was shipped to me and needed it so I wasn't able to send back. I was furious as this carrier was supposed to make my mom's cat less stressed and easier to transport. I had to hold the top down while driving as her cat kept trying to pop it's head out of the top--knowing it wasn't latched! The poor quality of this thing made it MORE stressful and MORE challenging! Putting it together was relatively easy even though it didn't come with written instructions (only vague picture instructions). But honestly, who cares about easy assemply when it's a piece of cheap plastic! Complete waste of money!

Reasonable Value

I liked the openness of the design (as did my Kittens). It was easy to put together & was perfect for taking them to their Vet Appointments. My normal size 6month old Kitten at 6.5lbs. fits but can't sit upright now without ducking her head but my pint sized 5lb. 7month old Kitten can. I only transported 1 at a time in this carrier but when I first adopted them they did fit together. I feel this carrier is good for cats under 8lbs.

Useless!

I needed a cat carrier and went for Ferplast as being seemingly a reputable make. It took me ages to put it together, firstly because of the usual puzzling diagrams and no text and secondly because when you FINALLY get one difficult to put together (really stiff!) another bit won't work. Finally, I got most of it sorted with the use of much swearing and pliers, and found that the sliding catches for the lid absolutely wouldn't slide shut. No WAY can this be used as anything but a waste of space. Utterly unfit for purpose. I will have to order another carrier AND get one from Pets Corner to cover myself. What absolute rubbish!
